Login Lock is a no -ost security plugin for WordPress. I will not build a website without this plugin. You may not know this, but your WordPress websites are under attacked right this minute. You may be attacked multiple times a day or a week. ninety percent of all attacks are by brute force.
Installing this plugin will protect against the brute force attack and a few others. Once you install this plugin you will be surprised how many times your sites are under attack.
One tip I want to leave you before getting into the video, is accepting the admin default when you install your WordPress site. If you are using the username “Admin”, I want you to immediately stop reading this article and go to your websites and add a new admin username to your list. You should never have the username “admin” anywhere in your sites.
From there I want you to log out of your WordPress website. Login with a fresh user and immediately delete the “Admin” user from your site. Take care to give the written posts over to the new user during deletion or you will delete all your posts as well.
Then go to your plugin menu and search for “login lock” and download it. Activating the plugin will log you out of the user interface. This is normal and should not alarm you. Just log back in and you are good to go. You can also download it directly from here LOGIN LOCK.
I only ran into one small issue with the plugin, yet it only happened with one of my sites. If the same happens to you just follow these instruction to correct it. I ran into this issue only once. For some reason the plugin started to automatically log me out. What I did was deactivate the plugin and then reactivated it and all was well again.
