Creating a backlink plan, takes some thought and patience. A plan is not developed in a day and it is not executed in a day. It created for the current activities and also for the long term activities which may cover a five year time span. Your plan is the foundation for page positioning and rankbuilding.
What is a plan made of? It is composed of methods and strategies you will use to reach a certain goal. Your goal may be to create 1000 backlinks a month for a website that is over a year old. Or it may be a multi-tier plan that addresses the first few months of the site versus a site that is more than a year old. Below is an example of how I would create my backlink plan for a competitive niche. This will become your backlink builder.
For the first two months. I would create a backlink plan that did not create more than a hundred links a day. I would try to stay within the ten a day link range.
By the third month, I would start to create upwards of 20 – 30 links a day to multiple pages on my site.
I would continue this strategy until the six month where I would open up my site to its fullest potential. This would include upwards of one thousand links or more a month to many different pages on my website.
At this point, my site has matured and is gaining respect in the industry and with Google.
Other sites are naturally linking to my site and at the same time I am executing my linking plan as scheduled. This backlink plan is for a niche that is highly competitive and requires thousands of links created a month to compete with other sites.
If I was in a low to medium size niche, I would create a different backlink plan to address the niche competition. As you can see, each site may require a different plan. I have three plans available for any site I create. I have a plan for a high competitive site, a medium competitive niche and a low competitive niche.
A business plan certainly does keep you focused. Thamks for reminding me why I need one!
